There are plenty of reasons to use our meeting rooms to host your conference or corporate event at The Meeting Centre, but one of the most compelling is its accessibility.
Founded
The Meeting Centre started life back at the turn of the century it was the brainchild of John Tearse a local developer and entrepreneur, specialising in high luxury hotels. So, when the rundown hosiery factory in Hinckley became vacant, he saw the potential to develop the site into 993 sqm of state-of-the-art conferencing and meeting facility, strategically placed in the heart of England.
To supply not only the needs of the local business community but the whole of the UK due to the excellent transportation links easily accessible by Car where Hinckley sits near the intersection of the major motorways M1, M69, M6 and the A5, by Train with cross links to Birmingham and Leicester.
John Tearse and his team continued to operate The Meeting Centre for over 20 years, giving joy to the local community and businesses through the many events from international conferences to weddings to remember.

John & Nora Shaw
The Meeting Centre is currently run on behalf of the Church by John & Nora a Husband-and-Wife team who offer a unique style of commitment to customer service. They have genuine desire to go that extra mile to ensure your event will run smoothly to ensure you enjoy full customer satisfaction.
John understands what is needed in the corporate environment having owned and managed number of national and international companies over the past 30 years. He spent many years on the other side and knows how challenging it can be for companies to organise meeting, conferences, and seminars, it is this knowledge that makes holding an event at The Meeting Centre stress free!
Nora brings the heart of service, her compassion shines through ensuring that every event undertaken at the meeting centre are memorable for all the right reasons! She ensures the team working alongside her are attentive to the clients every need.
